From Frustration to Freedom: How I Found Relief Through Nutritional Wellness

A Childhood Full of Questions
Hello! My name is Sue, and I’m passionate about helping others create a healthy lifestyle—because I’ve lived through what it’s like to not feel well and not know why.
My journey started in childhood when I faced several medical issues that went misdiagnosed or undiagnosed. It was a frustrating time. My mom’s friend Helen was the first to suggest that nutrition might be able to help. Although we were skeptical at first, my mom eventually started using nutritional supplements—and noticed a big difference.
Resistance and Realization
Even though I saw the changes in my mom, I personally resisted the idea for years. I had trouble swallowing pills and didn’t start taking supplements regularly until after I graduated college.
One major issue I dealt with was chronic constipation, which I thought was just genetic. My dad and his mom experienced it too, so I figured I had no choice but to live with it. My dad and I both tried Shaklee’s laxatives, and while they helped somewhat, I was still looking for more lasting relief.
Small Changes, Big Shifts
When probiotics were introduced, I gave them a try. At first, I only took the pill form and skipped the accompanying powder, not realizing the powder was meant to “feed the pearls” and make them more effective. As you might guess, the results were limited.
Then I tried optiDI, which combined the probiotics and prebiotics into one convenient capsule. I was hesitant, but after starting it, I noticed real improvement. My digestion felt more regular, and I didn’t rely as heavily on laxatives—though I still took 2–3 Herb-Lax daily for support.
A Turning Point with Flora and Flow
Everything changed when I discovered Flora and Flow. That was a true game-changer. I was able to cut back to just one Herb-Lax a day and started going several times a day without any effort. Not only was that physically relieving, but I also began to feel mentally clearer and emotionally calmer. My body just felt more in sync.
A Lifestyle of Wellness
Of course, I know there’s still room to improve—like adding more fruits and vegetables to my diet—but I’m so grateful for how far I’ve come. My experience has shown me that there really are nutritional solutions to everyday struggles, and I want others to know they’re not alone.
Today, I love sharing with others how important it is to move from just health care to wellness care. While medicine is sometimes necessary, it often only covers the symptoms. With the right nutrition, we can support our bodies from the inside out—and that can make all the difference.
